How to discover your deep motivation

For many people, 'success' equates to achieving goals. I offer this definition: true success is living in alignment with one's values. And in fact, we can already choose to live a successful life today, without necessarily having achieved our set goals, or even without ever achieving them.
Values are like our ice cream flavor preferences; they don't need to be justified; they are simply statements of what is truly important to us.
Before taking any action, it would be enough to ask yourself the question in full awareness: am I aligned with what is important to me? What is my current priority?
And from there adjust its strategy through concrete actions.
The mandala exercise offers a structured way to explore how our values are connected and to discover the key value: our inner fire.

In each corner of the square (A, B, C, D on the drawing), write down in one word 4 important aspects in your life.
What do A and B have in common that makes them both important? Write your answer on F. A+B=F Don't rush, but don't think too long either.
Continue in the different combinations, write down your answers on G, H and E. B+C= G, C+D=H, D+A=E
What is common and crucial between E and F? Write down J. E+F=J, and repeat for F+G=K, G+H=L, and H+E=I.
Continue for the triangle JIK. What is important and common and write the answer on the petal J+K+I=M. Repeat for J+K+L=N, K+I+L=O and J+L+I=P
If you have different words in M, N, O, and P, write down the value that brings them together in the center M+N+O+P=Q. If your words are the same, write that term in Q. Is there something else even more important to you? Add that word to the center.
Conclusion: How do you feel about Q? How did this concept influence you as a child, teenager, and adult? What impact does it have on your life today? And your future? How does this value relate to your true essence?

Working with values can be done conceptually, intellectually, as in the mandala exercise. Another way to connect with one's inner fire is through the body through rituals; my favorites are ice immersion and fire walking.
Metaphorical 'Ice & Fire' activities allow us to activate our potential by overcoming our limiting beliefs – first about phenomena such as cold and heat, ice and fire…and then transpose them into different aspects of everyday life.
With the methodical Wim Hof approach and the ceremonial ' Firewalk' , through conscious breathing and concentration we access the unsuspected and under-exploited powers of our own physiology.
What we thought was impossible becomes possible, allowing us to reach the full potential of our values. This is what Firewalking participants experience in their guts. Next date: see page
